Welcome to the Citroen C4 Picasso air suspension repair/conversion page

If you are the owner of a Citroen C4 Picasso with rear pneumatic air suspension and the vehicle has faults with either the gas leaking, meaning the bellows will not inflate or an issue with the suspension compressor ECU being faulty, we have a couple of options for you. Most faults on the suspension would be detected automatically with a warning light appearing on the instrument panel.

Repair - We can repair the rear suspension compressor ECU and repalce the bellows and pipe work for £900. The compressor ECU repair includes a lifetime warranty.

Conversion Kit - You can also convert your C4 Picasso from the air suspension system to a road spring system like you get on most other vehicles, using a conversion kit. We would repalce the bellows for road springs and fit the spring seats & bump stops. We would then reprogramme the ECU. This will cost £456 and comes with a 12 month warranty. We can also supply the conversion kit to you if you want to do it yourself for £300.

Citroen are well aware of the air suspension faults and stated to watchdog “It is important to note that the air springs on selected versions of previous generation C4 Picasso models are wear parts. Like all moving components in any suspension system on any car, they are subject to natural wear and tear. As a result, the rate at which they degrade will vary based on the age of the individual vehicle, mileage and conditions of use.”

Citroen have said they are wearable items and expect the customer to have the repair work done and is not covered under the warranty of the vehicle.

Any Citroen C4 Picasso from 2013 onwards have a steel pipe system in place and should therefore be more reliable.
